<p>Is the lofted bed truly not as high as the top bunk? At Calso I had the top bunk and couldn't sit up straight, but I remember reading somewhere that the loft isn't as close to the ceiling. What's a tall girl to do when it comes to choosing a bed?</p>

<p>yes, its true. Its a very slight amount though. </p>

<p>A tall girl should hope she gets short roommates and make them take the top bunks.</p>

<p>Oof, I was hoping to get a top bunk and I’m 5 ft 11. Hopefully that’s short compared to you and I don’t have to worry about sitting up straight on the top bunk.</p>

<p>Anyways, yeah the bunk bed is usually higher up than the lofted bed.</p>

<p>My bed was the top bunk, I’m 5’3" (i.e. I’m tiny), and I couldn’t sit up straight in my bed.</p>

<p>For some reason my bunk was particularly tall, though. Most of the other bunks in the other triples on my floor weren’t nearly as close to the ceiling as mine.</p>

<p>My roommate was able to sit up straight in his lofted bed, and he’s like 5’8" or something like that.</p>

<p>Yeah, I’m short, and I had two very tall roommates last year in Norton. I originally got the bottom bunk by coin flip, but after my two roomates consistently kept banging their heads on the wall we ended up having to switch, and I got the topmost bunk because I was the shortest. Honestly, if you’re over 5’2, you’re probably going to bump your head on the wall multiple times. So if you’re tall, work out a deal with your roommates as to gets which bed based off your height.</p>

<p>do you guys remember how much under-bed space, if any, there was for the bunk beds in a norton triple? one of my friends told me that her unit 1 bed didn’t have under bed space because there were dresser drawers instead.
and are there 3 closets or just 2? i heard there are only two dressers :confused:

<p>the bunks have 4 dresser drawers, so no under-bed space for them. </p>

<p>If you’re in a corner, there are 3 closets. I think there are only two for the middle triples.</p>
