<p>I had never heard about it till the last few days. The only reason I didn't apply is because they required a cheque/DD to get the application form. They wouldn't accept cash so my mom just said screw it.</p>

<p>A lot of people who finish either one or two years of their +2 education do apply to Mahindra and do get in. The reason is that this place is not all about academics - its about the international exposure. If you really enjoy that atmosphere - like I do - its not such a bad idea to redo a year. Theres even a girl in our first year whos done a year of the IB and come here.</p>

<p>As long as you fall in the 16 1/2 - 21 age limit you can apply.</p>

<p>I applied for a scholarship to study at one of the UWCs this past February. I had an interview last weekend and am on the short list... I find out if I get in this week... there were 20 interviews and there are 8 scholarships. :S I can't wait.. stupid mail doesnt come fast enough!
I'm a junior from Canada, and right now I'm doing the first year of my school's IB program. If I went to the UWCs I would have to do IB1 again, but thats fine with me because my school doesn't offer that many courses (Chem HL, for example, is mandatory for diploma students), so I would get to have loads of fun choosing! :)</p>

<p>You had to rank the order in which you'd prefer to go to them (so I applied to all of them I guess). I picked the Atlantic UWC in Wales as my first choice.</p>
