I see that Univ of FL is only 3% out of state students. I am wondering what GPA and SAT scores are needed for an out of state student to be admitted. Could current students let me know what their numbers were when admitted?
My GPA will be a 3.4 or 3.5 Haven’t gotten SAT scores back yet but think they will be around 1900.
A 1900 is a good score for UF in or oos. However, your gpa is very low for them granted it is your UF gpa. UF gpa of admitted freshman range between 4.1-4.5 for the middle 50%. To recalculate your gpa into uf standards assign an extra 1 point to all AP/AICE/Academic Dual Enrollment/IB classes, an extra .5 to all honors classes and 0.0 to regular classes.
TBH…below average at best. The average SAT score is a 1958 with a gpa of 4.3 and most of those are in state.
Maybe I am figuring the GPA wrong. My school is out of a 6.0 I am a 5.2 out of 6.0
I’m not sure how to convert it. I do not have any AP classes, but I do have quite a few honors.
As I understand it, UF does not have different admission standards between instate and out of state students. However, because of the vast difference between instate and OOS tuition coupled with limited OOS merit aid, the instate yield rate is much higher than the OOS yield rate, resulting in a student body overwhelmingly instate.
It will be tough to get into UF with those stats and no AP classes. Apparently UF likes challenging coursework in high school, and no AP is not challenging.
OK, I just figured out how to recalculate GPA. So I have a 3.9 and probably about a 1900. Odds?
What Zinhead stated…no APs is not good.
