Universities with Undergrad South Asian Studies Major / Hindi Language

I have been having difficulty finding colleges and universities that offer these things, in particular Hindi language. I don't want to do independent study or start taking it only once I am studying abroad. I'd like to have a solid foundation before then. So far I am looking at the University of Washington, University of Michigan, UC Berkeley, and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I take all my classes through Running Start at community college, but will still be applying as a freshman. It would be great if my credits transferred. It would also be a plus if the college has a master's program in library science, so that I wouldn't have to move for grad school. I have used all the online college searches, but I am hoping this forum will help me find more college options!
-GPA: 4.0 (Class rank: 1st)
-SAT: 1880 (will retake, hoping to improve to at least 2000)
-Volunteer at Humane Society
-Tutor at Elementary School for Club de Lectura (Spanish Club)
-Cheer Captain
-Yearbook Editor
-Will have over 90 college credits at graduation
-Member of Phi Theta Kappa
-Part of Honors Program

UT Austin has the critical language flagship - you get intensive instruction then spend a year abroad and take classes in your major in the language (such as economics in Hindi, or sociology in Hindi…) The critical language flagship students are heavily recruited, BTW.
The BIG problem is that UTAustin is super expensive OOS and there’s no financial aid…
What’s in-state for you?

If you can bring that test score up, Cornell and Brown perhaps as reaches; American University, GWU would be good choices.

Don’t forget to run the Net Price Calculators on each website (since each college calculates differently you have to do it for each) to see whether it’s affordable - bring the results to your parents, expect them to fall off their chair at the costs, and talk budget.

@myos1634 Thanks for the suggestions; I will definitely look into them! I am a Washington State resident, but my father lives in Texas. Do you know if that does anything?

@myos1634 Thanks! Unfortunately, that doesn’t apply to me.

Your father doesn’t pay child support for you or isn’t eligible to claim you as a dependent?

No he doesn’t. @myos1634

I don’t know about Hindi, but it was possible to study Urdu at the University of Chicago with a compatible area studies major back in the day. Your SATs are low for them, though.

You say that you are #1 in your class? How big a class, and what type of school?

@consolation Public high school, about 250 in my class. Somewhat rural area, and AP classes are not offered, which is why I took the opportunity to do Running Start at the local community college.
