we’re trying to have something for our senior son to look forward to after this spring – and that’s to focus on starting college this fall. Bama is one of his top choices.
so wondering how many of you are going - and what you’ve found with housing - and how to know what the different dorms and housing situations are like. Share what you know. Thanks!
My son just a few days ago selected Bama after not being able to check out a school in Texas. He applied for housing after making the decision and the feeling is that we were late and Honors housing was no sure thing but he identified a student who applied much earlier and so should be pulled in with the students who applied early.
We visited campus a couple of times and I think most/all of the suite style halls are quite good.
Good luck.
Admitted to honors, NMF from the northeast. Had an opportunity to visit just before the lock down and was impressed by the campus. It is a beautiful place.
Having a tough time deciding…especially since other admitted student events are cancelled.
Son just deposited today. Chemical Engineering major, Honors College. Stem Path to MBA program. Was a difficult decision for him. He was accepted to USC, UC Berkeley, UCI, UC San Diego, RPI, Fordham, etc. In the end, though, he said what stood out for him was the warmth of the campus, the people, and the innovative programs. He is thrilled with his choice. Good luck all!
