nice---premed?

Another call to all canadians

Haha, hkin was my second choice to science but I decided to switch them at the last second because I heard how much easier it is to get a decent gpa at hkin. I want to go to med school.

Oh and the chance to work the canucks training camp would be effing sweet.

Oh and im a Canadian living in the states

hey, same here...

Go nucks...they are gonna catch calgary im sure of it

Hello everyone,

I received my acceptance to UBC Vancouver around a few days ago, with an Entrance Scholarship.

I'm a Chinese-Canadian living in Toronto.

was it posted online?

Oh and hell yeah there gonna catch Calgary, lu’s slowly getting back into pre injury form

got ACCEPTED today and Ottawa got STOMPED...Calgary is gettin nervous

Man, today was a good day haha

So this is weird--

I applied as a transfer into science and was granted 144 credits.....which is an obvious mistake....because it takes 120 to graduate...

oh well---i'll give em a call--i came from a quarter system so its probably just some mistake in conversion

Hey, I'm an international who just got accepted yesterday! I sent in my stuff in late January/early February (don't remember the exact date) and I applied to the Faculty of Arts.

Does UBC really value the IB or what? I received the $5000 Entrance Scholarship just because of my IB score even though I almost failed two classes sophomore year.

Sweet.

I’m thinking about applying to UBC~Science. Can anyone tell me how hard it is to get in? (I’m American).

Congrats to you all!

I’m from Seattle. US citizen applying as international student.
I applied around mid February and was accepted in early March. It only took about 2/3 weeks.
I applied to Engineering and Applied Science, with physics as backup. I was accepted into the Engineering department.
I also got the $5,000 entrance scholarship.

did you find out about the scholarship from the website or did it come in the acceptance letter? I got accepted on friday :] but I haven’t received the actual letter…

Im an international student, I submitted my online application in feb but Im submitting all my documents tomorrow. How long do you think it takes for the decisions to come out? Please let me know!

i got accepted but im going to nyu

Hey, I’m an international student as well doing the IB.
I still have not really understood what UBC look at the IB score for? Is it meant for admission purposes?
My GPA is not that good honestly but I know i did pretty well in the ib exams so do you think my chances of getting admission is good?

So, another international student here. Who else applying for fall of 2010? Im kind of confused on the application… ive barely put in any of my information/grades and it looks like im done already. Whats up? lol.

I also want to apply to UBC, but I’m only in my junior year of high school…
What are my chances with a 4.0 GPA? And not too many activities, basically creative writing and the student government.
Oh, and is there a higher chance of getting in with a scholarship if I am the first one to apply from a certain country? Like do they have a quota or something? I’m originally from Finland, but I live in the US…

^ That would be nice, wouldn’t it? But I think it wouldn’t help. The campus is full of students from around the world, often with complex cultural backgrounds…but on the plus side, you will fit right in and may even meet other students from Finland!
