University of California Foreign language

I will be transferring to a University of California campus. I'm attending a community college in California. I'm interested in taking French as my foreign language requirement.

My question is: For the foreign language requirement, do I need to take FREN 001A and FREN 001AL simultaneously—that is, in the same semester?

If I have confused you, please let me know.

Thanks, guys.

probably not but we don’t know what school you go to and what the policies are there for French 1A and 1AL. you should talk to a counselor who is familiar with your CC’s policy and has your information in front of you.

What is the 1AL class? A lab or something?

french? dude cmon, it’s California not Paris. Don’t you think Spanish would be more useful considering the U.S is the largest Spanish speaking nation on the planet? Oh well it’s up to you. And no you can not take two foreign language courses at once, you need a intro before you can even register for a level two.

^what a tool

Wow…a tool indeed.

yes i am a tool. feel better about yourself?

Not exactly…I’m still hungry, and you’re still a tool. :(

if u never took a language in high school u just need to TAKE 1 foreign language class in College right?

Back on topic…

Saitek2, it depends on what the French 001AL course is. If it’s a ‘lab’ course, you can sign up for it concurrently. But it depends what the course is.

lol, that’s ironic. The guy spending his thanksgiving calling people tools, thinks he’s something other than a tool himself.
