Exactly how hard is it for a oos student to transfer into berkeley or ucla?

i have five prereqs for UC Berkeley.

will having 2 Bs out of the 5 prereqs hurt my chances?

Do people get into Berkeley with anything less than As in their prereqs lol?

Which classes are the B's in?

(basically an accurate prediction)

statistics B
microeconomics B
comparative gov A
macro A
world history A

those are my prereqs and world history is a uc berkeley course (its only offerred there and is needed to declare the major)...peis is the major btw

Assuming that you're applying for Haas, yes it will hurt your chances. But there are people that have made it in with a 3.8 on this board.

nope not haas..letters and science..

what are my chances if i'm going to transfer with only one year in ccc? expected to finish tap/honors pgrm and igetc by the second semetre, choosing an un-impacted major(art history) , expected 3.5 gpa.

start your own damn thread sauronvoldemort...

this thread isn't big enough for the bothavus. im the only hijacker in town..

note: THREAD hijacker

So who would win in an epic battle the epic battle of sauron vs voldemort sauronvoldemort?

sauronvoldemort, sounds like a very good shot to me.

I took some honors courses this Spring and am currently taking two others. For some reason on the application, these classes show up as just regular level classes, rather than, for example, "Honors Political Science 2." Should I write down that they're honors myself?

Oh, and I also took an ITV course over the Spring. Does anyone know which school to attribute your grades to on the academic history/ grades portion of the application?

Thanks.

untitled123, same school you took the ITV course?

Is anyone going to turn in the app rigth on November 1st?

Do you guys think having a GPA under the average for UCLA or UCB would mean automatic rejection?

yes startraksfinest, if you dont get to, or above, the minimum gpa your application will be disregarded, set on fire, and a hateful letter will be sent to your house. Upon receiving this letter you will realize you are a failure at all aspects of life and, subsequently, drop out of college. UCLA and UCB don't **** around!

for sure.................. rumor has it that once you submit that app online with a GPA under the average it doesnt even get uploaded to the Ad Coms print list when they are looking over apps......it just ads your name to a mail merge document for a rejection letter.....

NOOO not at all, if it was the avg. GPA would probably be at 4.0

I took the class at my CC, but I don't know which school to attribute the grades to, because it's technically not from my school. When I search for ITV on the UC application and put down my grade, it doesn't show up as transferrable, which it should be.
