i know i post this already, but i got a lot of contradicting answers, but what if my essays were...208, 205, and 614? is that fine? thanks, and please answer the question above also :)

I hear that 10 -/+ is best and not in risk of getting cut off... maybe reduce some of your essays by a few words?

hmm... lets's if my essay is 206,210 and my last is only 400 words? will it be at a disadvantage if my extended essay is short?

I think you should atleast get to the 900 mark.

i was wondering if there was an actual section that asks for your GPA, or they derive it electronically from the grades you submitted? please help. thanks

Ruru: Nope. If the essay genuinely depicts all of the qualities you wish adcom's to know about, then it's not too short. Free space for this sort of essay is an opportunity to elaborate on your qualities; to shed light on different aspects of yourself. However, if you write stuff that's just fluff or unhelpful, then it might even count against you.

Can we write about the reasons about y we din excel as we would like to and write about our grades in the 3rd essay or is it meant for the 2nd essay?

does anyone know why they accepted 15 people who put undeclared for their major for UCLA? does that mean they do accept some lower division transfers?

I'm considered a lower division transfer but my AP credits will help me reach the 90 units mark, and i'm still applying nonetheless. :X

might be fast track honors

Quick Q:

Did you guys copy the course NAME exactly like how you saw it on your transcript.

For example: I took "Introduction to Philosophy", according to the catalog, but according to my transcript I took "Intro to Philos"

Which one should I put? Putting "Intro to Philos" makes me think that the adcoms will think I'm an idiot.

will they require that i update my information for fall quarter grades to take in consideration for acceptance, or they will neglect that in the admission process????? please help, thanks

I think you should copy exactly as it says on the transcript. If you don't the computer might not note it down as a transferable course. The adcoms probably won't think you're an idiot because that's the way it appears on the transcript.

Same here Yams. I'm rewriting my essay for the third time and I still have major changes to make. I think i'll probably end up rewriting it two more times.

I have a hard time trying to start up the 600 one...
