University of California Transfer Students Fall 2007 OFFICIAL THREAD!!!

Kevintech, i feel you :(

A nightmare for me would be getting rejection letters from my back-up schools and not getting any letters from UCLA or Berkeley past mid-May.

That would literally wear me out.

now thats a true nightmare dhl.
Ill be happy wherever I go, as long as Im going SOMEWHERE

hey all!
i have a few questions about the transfer app, hopefully you guys will know some of em'

1) Where do I tell the websites that I have passed Spanish II in high school and that I don't need it for igetc?

2) How do I add a 1 Unit PE class I took from ANOTHER junior college (which was around 3-5 years ago)?

3) How do I inform the UC?s of my new grades. I had Incomplete marks in Spring of 06 and I typed that on the application that was due 11/30. Now that the grades have been updated, i THOUGHT i would be able to change them now but it only lets you update fall 06 and beyond. What do I do?

Thanks a million guys! good luck with your classes

They'll ask for your high school transcript to check on courses that meet the requirement for certain category.

Bearclaw15:
1) IGETC is handled by your community college. I would speak to your advisors there to make sure they have the information needed to satisfy the IGETC requirements.

2) If you are still filling the application you would just need to add the school and list the course. If you have submitted the application already and need to add this course please contact the admissions office at each school you applied to. It seems by your later statement you need to do the later.

3) Again to update information for previous coursework please contact the admissions office at the campuses you applied to. They will let you know how their campus wants to receive the information. For the Davis Campus, if applicable, please include this information in the additional comments section of the update form.

i am taking like 6 classes in spring. is it good idea to transfer some of the courses to 2007 summer session?

if you can handle 6 classes in spring, go ahead. If you can't, take some in Summer.

Im considering whether or not I should transfer to a UC, I was wondering what you guys think my chances are?

Here are my stats:
GPA: 3.5
School:Chico State
Major: History
Schools: UCB, UCLA and UCSD.
EC: Two US House internships, President of my school's Democrat Club, Internship in a PR firm, extensive campaign expiereince.

Will transfering from a four year and hurt me?

Hey guys, in the update form, it asks "have you completed the entry level writing requirement?"
I'm a CCC student, does this apply to me? (I HAVE finished a year's worth of english composition)

If in the original application it says that you have fulfilled the IGETC, then yes, you have completed this requirement.

Thanks Pellman! :)

Hey! Thanks for the answers. I got # 1..
for # 2
2) where would i add the school and list the course? since I can't go back to quarters/semesters before fall of 2006?

You would need to contact the admissions office at each campus you applied to and check to see how they want pre-fall 06 coursework reported.

I am currently transferring from a UC to another UC. UCB has a supplemental application and im not quite sure what to do for the breadth requirements? They say if i havent completed it, my application will be automatically dropped. How do i know if i have or have not completed it? (i dont want my 60 dollars go down the drain) Any tips anyone? thanks :)

shagpin, you have a good shot. You should try to take some classes at butte college.

Just updated my Berkeley app. Not too bad at all. heh

kevin, do you go to a cc? (jw)
