<p>As for (TAP) certification, well, that's happening NOW at my school (Orange Coast College), so I assume it's going on everywhere else. We have until the 15th of this month to turn it in (I already turned mine in :) ).</p>

<p>Just wondering how people think about certain UCs, if you were accepted to UCSB and UCI ONLY, which would you go?</p>
<p>I think the difference between UCSB and UCI is even more negligible than that of Berkeley and UCLA.</p>
<p>I know both people who have gone, and are still going to both schools (Irvine and SB) and I have heard way more good things about SB.</p>

<p>If I get into all four, the only one I would choose over UCSB is UCLA. UCSB is just such an incredible place...I can't say enough about it's atmosphere. In fact, it's so amazing, that I would even consider choosing it over UCLA (though I'm sure in the end, I would still pick UCLA ;) ).</p>
<p>Last summer I went to UCSB took their campus tour and I didn't like it at all. The result of that bad impression is that I didn't apply this school which originally I wanted to.</p>
<p>There was a point when i thought the same as Coast ^ but i realized that UCSB's reputation lies on its parties rather than academics, and although i love partying, its not something that i would be proud of lol... I would rather have a party school with a great academic rep ;) haha</p>

<p>At first, i thought ucsb was ugly! i wont lie, but the inside isnt as bad as the outside, and being right next to the beach is beautiful...</p>
<p>The difference in academics between ucsd/uci and ucsb isn't substantial (especially at the undergraduate level) enough for me to pick those schools' non-existent social life over UCSB's social life. </p>
<p>For me, a good social life/college experience is essential, as I have been at a JC for 4 years and it has been absolutely dreadful. :)</p>
