University of California Transfer Students Fall 2007 OFFICIAL THREAD!!!

I havnt gotten a thing from UCSD yet

yeah i've been getting those emails like once or twice a day. i thought it was kinda weird too at first, but it's probably just a glitch or something.

i need to update ucb, ucla, and ucsd with my grades since i received a few incomplete marks spring quarter. do any of you guys know the contact information for each of the school? also do i just write a letter telling them about my updates?

yeah, the ucsd emails are also spamming my emailbox

Hey, just thought I'd stop by and cheer on my future fellow UC transfers. I transfered to UCB this past year, and my girlfriend is expecting to transfer in in another year or so. So far in my experience transfers really set the bar high in every class. I honestly feel for the freshman who came straight from highschool. They so often look miserable.

Anyway, best of luck to all of you!

bearclaw:
Have you completed your UC update form yet? When you fill it out they have boxes on the bottom for you to explain discrepancies re: your grades courses dropped, etc. Once you have completed that form online it will automatically get transmitted to the schools you applied for. UCB has addition forms to complete and those also have boxes for explaination of grades.

thanks for the info pyro!

UCSB also has additional forms to complete.

CKDUNTON, as for UCSD, the colleges with the least requirements are any of the ones that dont start with R (Revelle and the other one have more requirements!)

UCSB does? I never got anything about that? Could you explain further?

^ ya I want to know too

haha thanks smith :) and yeah, as i said, i learned that revelle's definitely the worst after i ranked it first when i applied in hs and then they wouldnt let me switch til soph yr. shoulda done my research then lol.

I think what he meant about UCSB's thing is their admissions website that you can log into.

https://www.admissions.ucsb.edu/applicant/index.asp?context=applicant_transfer

they dont have additional forms to complete!!

Is it possible to withdraw my application? I'm not planning on transferring this fall.

yeah, just call up the school, or email them

pyro,
thanks for the moral support...do you have any suggestions for the rest of us who are UCB hopefuls? What was your GPA when you transfered? Any advise would be appreciated.

BioGuy,
Why would you want to withdraw your application? I mean, I know you probably can't attend or whatever, but since app fees are not refundable, why not just find out if you're going to make it in or not? I don't think not withdrawing will affect your chances for future semesters. Maybe someone can chime in on that.

It won't affect his chances of getting in next year, but if he's accepted to any of the schools he applied to, it takes a way a spot from someone else that applied.

Ah, I see. Missed that point.
