University of Delaware Class of 2021

the more, the merrier. Decision should come this week…“end of March”

It’s their spring break this week, so not sure if “end of March” might turn into “beginning of April”. I was hoping to know this week so my D could make a decision sooner than later.

Still waiting here too, @president2132. Supposedly they will notify the students of the decision either way.

I called admissions and there were 10 calls ahead of me! I guess everyone is done waiting and seeking answers, spring break or not!

@mattm12334 Yes, waiting on the “mid april” decision here.

For anyone who has been accepted to the honors program after their initial acceptance- does the decision come by email or show up in the portal? If it shows up in the portal, where? Thanks!

@eg2017, they will update the portal, according to admissions. My son called today and was told decisions are still pending and they will be notified either way.

Thanks, @chp0304 ! Like everyone else, I can’t wait for the waiting game to finally end!

anyone got into UDEL in DC for a semester at American university?

my D did

My d did as well. I find it interesting. She however does not. Also, no scholarship being offered. Full oos pricing for all 4 years…

My d received a wait list letter at the end of February. Has anyone come off the wait list and been admitted?

My concern is it’s difficult enough to adjust to being away from home for the first time, and on top of that, they need to also navigate a big, busy city like to DC and work 2 days a week. Maybe junior year would be better. We shall see what she decides.

Waitlist students do not hear until after May 1st from what I was told from the admissions office.

As a follow-up to the above post, d is from PA and applied to UD pretty late, end of December.

She really wants to attend UD and this waiting is driving us both crazy.

rab1012 - the letter stated something like…“we hope to give you good news by mid-April”. Do you think she will need to wait until after May 1st?

loveobx-Well we were told we would hear a final decision why March 1, we received the decision march 17th. But who knows…hopefully you’ll hear sooner than later.

did anyone else get rejected then allowed to reapply for an appeal? I sent mine in a few months ago. I’m just confused as to why any school would do this.

My son was accepted into the Honors Program today! The portal was updated and he received an email welcoming him to the program. Has anyone done the Taste of UD event yet? The only remaining open dates are during his spring break and we already have plane tickets for a trip. He has done 2 tours already and accepted students day.

What major did you S apply to? Was portal updated last night?
