@Eclipse2017 and @EastCoaster13 check the portal in the morning. I seem to recall the decision being posted sometime in the evening so when my D woke up in the morning it was there.
I’m wondering if the portal only updates at noon and midnight. My D is a junior at UD and I know grades update at those times, after entered by the instructors. I also wonder if anyone has received their big yellow envelope prior to the portal being updated…that’s what happened with my D when she was accepted. So I still keep hoping to see something in the mailbox even though the portal is unchanged.
Got accepted! Portal updated in the night and I found out around 9-10 PM!

Got accepted to Engineering.
My son got accepted! Decision on honors program to come in March and financial aid decision by mid-February.
Admitted! Decision did come after the major disappeared

@Onapps24 Congratulations on your acceptance. My son is a senior physics major at UD. We absolutely love the physics department. Transfering to engineering may be a little complicated because they are a restricted major. Try contacting the department for clarification. You can also search udel changing majors to find the guidelines. You will do very well with either program.
Just wanted everyone to know that response times for applications varies based on the major chosen as does the merit to some extent.
Accepted for BS in CS on January 12th.
I live in India, and their package( Acceptance Letter, Brochure, and other paper documents reached today) reached me today.

Son was accepted to Communications Interest major via portal today. As others have mentioned, his major disappeared from the portal page just prior to the acceptance being posted. UD was his top choice so I am thrilled for him (and for me since we are in-state!)
My D has been waiting over 12 weeks for a decision since the completed application email… why is it taking so long?

I applied regular decision 1/7 and I just received a letter and my portal updated saying:
On behalf of the University of Delaware Admissions Committee, thank you for your interest in being considered for the class of 2021. Due to the volume of highly qualified applicants and the competitive nature of the major you have selected, it will take additional time for us to finalize decisions and determine the shape of this year’s class…
We hope to give you good news by March 1.
I didn’t expect to hear back before March anyway since I applied regular decision so what should I take out of this?

@127271 Admissions decisions are often made in advance of the deadline. Because other departments are making decisions, they likely wanted to communicate a status to you. This is good news in the sense that UD is trying to communicate its admissions status and process. I don’t think it is a + or - sign for you specifically, rather an effort to stay in communication. What is your major?
This Friday, a week after receiving my acceptance, I checked My Finances Award Notice and saw a screen awarding the Presidential Scholarship of $10,000 a year (I’m OOS). However, the next day, payment screens were up and there was no mention of my award, almost like it didn’t exist at all. Does that mean it might’ve been an accident? My GPA/scores align with that amount, but now I’m not sure… I’m freaking out because that scholarship was necessary for Delaware to be possible for me
Check again this morning, and take a screen shot if it’s there. If it’s not there, call admissions.
The same thing happened to me. When I checked My Finances Award Notice, where I usually saw a chart displaying my scholarships, today I saw a different screen, with no mention of my Trustee Scholarship. I was accepted a few months ago, and was also accepted into the Honors Program. Whenever I have checked My Finances, my scholarships have been there, besides today. Does anyone know what this means?
@isa_tex16 Still no update under the “My Finance Award” tab. My daughter and I are checking constantly! I called and spoke with someone in admissions today and was told that it can take up to 3 weeks after the acceptance. She sounded very positive and told me that we should see something in the next week or so and if not, I could call back in a week to check again. My daughter is sooo anxious to know, as UDel is her first choice and we need this merit award! Fingers crossed :-S
