University of Delaware, University of Georgia, or University of Virginia?

Hi all!

I'm a rising senior and I'm finalizing my college list. So far I have 4 other schools on my list (all are state schools in the Northeast and the other is Michigan State). I'm trying to pick between U Delaware, UGA or UVA. I'm interested in going into Urban Planning and I know that it's primarily a master's degree so I would be majoring in either sociology, geography, or international affairs and minoring in one of two languages. I really like the "typical campus" layout like College Park (which was perfect). School Spirit is really important to me too and I plan on being involved in the social scene in college as well (but not neglecting school). So what do you like about those schools if you attend them? Are they big party schools? And is the surrounding area really nice (like is there a lot to do)? Also how are the students there? Really you can just say how you feel about the schools!

Thanks!

Are you a Virginia resident? If not, you should factor in the state-limited OOS acceptance rate for UVA. It should be considered a reach school even for in-state students with impressive scores and grades, more so for OOS applicants. My co-worker is an alum and definitely enjoyed his time there. Charlottesville and the UVA campus are beautiful.

If your plan is to go to grad school, I’d factor in the undergrad costs and shoot for a reputable school with the cheapest cost of attendance.
