I am a community college student about to be ready to transfer to a university. I intend on getting my degree in Philosophy and then transferring to law school. Does anyone have an opinion which is a better school to go to, UF or FSU?
Generally, UF has a better reputation than FSU on most fronts. UF is ranked 37th and 48th nationally by Niche and US News, while FSU is ranked 76th and 95th. FSU is better for certain programs, like Film and Theatre. I think that UF is considered a slightly better law school as well. Having visited both, I personally preferred FSU and Tallahassee to UF and Gainesville. My daughters agreed. Acceptance rates are: UF 47% FSU 54%.
I encourage you to visit both and gain a feel of each for yourself. I am not aware of any major differential in terms of your planned undergraduate program.
