You have great chance man! Make sure you explain in your essays why your GPA is low. Make that essay perfect, but I think the time is over anyways. Good Luck and keep your head up! Great scores.

Looks like you have great chances! Keep in mind a lot of theses colleges are HIGHLY selective and there is no definitive acceptance. However, this is what I got:

Pros: AP scores and courses, recommendations, volunteer trip, URM

Cons: GPA (major), no work/job experience (try to get internships), and few awards that would set you apart.

Hope this helped!!

Yes! University of Florida would definitely be a safety just based off of your standardized testing scores. In terms of your extracurriculars --they’re good, but try to narrow them down. To get into those top schools that you listed, you need to demonstrate a pattern through your extracurriculars. For example, if you’re going to major in business, then drop the Research club and maybe try finding an internship at a local company! Hope this helps. Chance me back if you have the time!

Thanks everyone! BUMP

Ok, you got me! Can you tell me why your GPA is so low and your scores so high?

Per several guidance counselors in FL, both, UF and FSU are not the safeties they used to be. With their holistic admission policies both schools do reject even high stats Florida students because they have to “serve” the entire state. Also, high-performing Florida students tend to stay in-state due to Bright Futures, so the universities’ yield is incredibly high.
