Hi, I’ve applied UF in electrical engineering for transfer
gpa: 3.69
pre prof: 4.0
how much chance do i have to get accepted…because its really my dream to study in uf everytime when i got B in any course, i cried because i thought i am losing my oppurtunity to transfer in UF
You’re most likely gonna be accepted, especially with that pre prof gpa
Has anyone been accepted yet? I received my acceptance August 1st and (good) housing for Spring off campus is scarce. I just signed my lease, and I move in Jan 5th at a surround apartment complex.
Which apartment complex @turkeysandwich1 ??
Current Institution: SPC
Current GPA: 3.6
Pre-Prof GPA: 3.4
College/Major: CLAS/Bio
I haven’t heard back from anyone yet and it is making me extremely nervous. UF is my dream school and it is so well suited for my career path.
Along with the housing situation that others were asking: does anyone know if they allow on-campus dorms for Spring transfers? Or will I need to stay off-campus?
The grove villas @EliteFootball
@IFeedCats Im pretty sure they have housing for Spring transfers, but speaking from an off-campus perspective… finding a 1/1 or a 2/2 with a roommate that you actually wouldn’t mind rooming with is difficult.
Contingent on being accepted, would anyone be open to being roomates?
Current : community college
GPA 3.73
Pre prof : 3.67
Applied to the UF All online program for Health education and behavior. I applied exactly 4 weeks ago and my status still says “please allow 2-4 weeks for an initial review of the app”. I’m confident I will get in because my gpa is not bad and the program is completely online, so it’s not like I will be taking up their space. How long did it take for you guys to get your final decision?
@Pinkgirl321 I have yet to receive a decision, but my initial review only took a couple of weeks when I applied early August.
@turkeysandwich1 Thanks! But yeah, that is going to be a struggle all on its own. I don’t know if I will be able to afford renting on my own and my Florida prepaid covers on-campus housing. I am just hoping that I will be able to get an apartment style dorm. If not, I’m going to try to find housing off-campus.
@Gthang91 Are you talking about roommate for an apartment or for a dorm?
Even though I applied back in May for housing, I am worried I won’t be able to get on campus housing because of how late it’s going to take to hear back from the business college for Finance. Does anyone know if it is typically difficult for junior transfers to find on-campus housing at UF?
@yankees0918 I was talking about for an apartment. I didn’t even know Juniors could live on campus. I don’t really know the benefits.
I got a response today saying that they are currently reviewing my application , and that they need my HS transcript to confirm that I did 2 years of a foreign language. Once that is in, they will send it to the college for a final descision!
@Gthang91 Well if for some reason I can’t find something on campus, I’ll probably be looking for a roommate as well. Keep in touch!
Does anyone know if HS grades/GPA matters? I have 4 years of a foreign language but I also have a really good high school GPA and was accepted to UF as a freshman (I’m taking the hard route). I feel like my GPA of 3.86 won’t be good enough
You’re fine lol, almost guaranteed acceptance.
careful with the grove villas, they look nice on their add and i was promised a lot fo things before moving in and the landlord Katie did not deliver on any of them. And the apartment offered was nothing waht was advertised. I got out of that lease after only four days @turkeysandwich1
@hotpoppyseed Where do you live at now? I took a tour of Royal Village and it was nice and inexpensive. Do you have any recommendations such as The Courtyards or anything?
Current: Santa Fe college
Hrs Completed: 59 (completing bio gen-ed and one pre prof course this semester)
GPA: 3.79
Pre-prof GPA: 4.0
College/Major: CLAS/ Economics
Submitted my application on September 5th and has since been referred to CLAS for a final decision. Anyone know my chances since I submitted it close to the deadline?
