^ wow that's pretty unique. An out-of-state, entering senior from a CC?

Caillebotte... yeah.. I told them that i took so many credits just to become a stong transfer applicant.....and not with the intention of entering as a SENIOR!!! They said that u can figure that out with your UIUC counsellor once you accept the admission offer.

I would have to say that my nationality would have definitely played a role in decision coz i talked a lot about experiences in Ille de France and Lyon in my essays.

I applied shortly before the deadline and had a decision online a few days later. It said manual review for a couple of days and admit after that. They mailed out the accept letter on March 7th though I think.

This worries me. I did apply late (made the deadline though) and my file wasn't complete until 3/14.

However, I was admitted as a freshman. I have a 3.94 and high ACT/AP scores. I'm actually beginning to get nervous, U of I is my safety.

My other stuff was received a couple of weeks before that, so my file was complete when I (finally!) finished and submitted my app. I wouldn't worry. What major did you app to?

I applied to integrative biology, though I'm switching to molecular.

Oh and congrats on the acceptances m.kenien and seren

i checked my status on Thursday and it said "Admit - College Reviewed"

i would have to say irrespective of whatever people my say on this forum about diversity, nationality and race.... but they do play a HUGE ROLE!!!

^ well it's not like my race would exactly work in my favor...

Does anyone know what "Committee Review" means for application status?

does having more credits even help you?

I think a college that i am applying for only accepts 65 but I got like almost 80. I didnt mention anything about that in my essay or app though

Congrats buddy

Yay congrats!

Does anyone know my chances of acceptance.
I have 15 credit hours for Southern Illinois University.
My college GPA so far is a 3.2.
I have not decided which college to apply to, honestly I want to apply to an easy one just to get in and then transfer from there.I'm thinking Sociology in LAS or Human Development in ACES.(Any suggestions?)
My problem is my high school GPA(2.6) and my ACT(24)
