University of Illionis at Champaign and Cornell

Although the recommended amount of foreign language is 4 years at Uof I, I don't want to take AP French 4 and I would rather take AP Stats. Would that affect my chances much?

I have a 30 on my ACT and a 4 in government; so far as a junior, 3.5-3.6 gpa, meh. :/

Anyone?!?!?!?!?!???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Unweighted GPA.

Illinois requires two years of language for admission and having three instead of four will not have any impact on admission. However, be aware:

The colleges at Illinois have college language requirements to graduate from UIUC. Most things in the A&S college require two years of college language. However, they consider four years of high school language to be the equivalent to that and if you have four years you do not have to take any language in college. For engineering, three semesters of college language are required and you can avoid doing that by having three years of high school language. In other words, depending on college you are applying to at UIUC, it can be to your advantage to complete that fourth year of high school language.

Crap. So, I can’t take Statistics? Dang dang dang dang. I have 3 years of honors French too!!! NOO!!!
