My daughter received the same, but sees no reason to appeal. Pass 3 courses with a C-, maintain a 2.7 gpa, and she should be able to seamlessly transfer as of sophomore year.
The 3 courses include 2 entry-level CS courses, as well as Calc I. She should be able to check that last one off with AP credit she’ll likely get in the spring with her AP exam.
This is exactly right!
same stats for us and denied
It did mention freshman connection but if they have room in housing and in classes - i don’t understand why/difference?

The Smith School of Business is the hardest of all to get into, at UMD
The link to Freshman Connection implies they can have on-campus housing in the Fall?
Yes, they can.

I think they’d rather offer spring admission than defer/deny. It’s confusing and I’m not a fan of them doing this.
In reality though, not a whole lot of difference.
(Edited to add: the biggest difference is the restrictions on class registration. Freshman Connect students have to take evening classes).
Got into Honors with math major! 1590, 4.0 w/ 16 APs, in-state!
Have they announced any admitted student days? We have not yet visited.
