University of Maryland College Park vs. University of Delaware - 2 Days to Decide!!!!

I have a few days to decide between one of these schools. I live in NJ. Delaware is about 90 minutes away and Maryland is about 200 minutes away. Cost and Tuition is not a factor, as I got loans for both schools.

I am going for business, and Maryland has a much higher ranked business program (Smith).

So I am looking for opinions on which school is overall a better choice.

Thanks!!!

Maryland is a great school. Beautiful campus. Close to DC. Great academics. I would go to Maryland.

I would go with Maryland

Maryland - 10 char

Maryland not even close.

bump so it seems like maryland is better so far

Maryland. And when you want to get away from campus, you have all of Washington DC just a metro ride away.

My son is the same boat in 2011. Where did you end up going and how do you like it?

I meant UD.

“I got loans for both schools.”

Just exactly how much in loans? And, what would it come to after four years?

The only loans you can qualify for on your own are the ones you can get by filing the FAFSA (Stafford and Perkins). If you need more than that, you are going to have to get a co-signer or your parents will have to take out a Plus loan. The federal loans have limits because, to be completely honest, you probably can’t pay off any more than that on the kind of salary you will have getting out of college. Run both of your aid packages through this handy calculator and then talk with your parents about what that kind of debt would mean for you: [FinAid | Calculators | Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Award Letter Requirements - Finaid)
