I live in Maryland, but I currently go to Rowan University in Glassboro NJ. I got accepted to this school for the dance program, but I found out that it isn’t so great. So, after my fall semester here I am trying to transfer either to UMD or my community college AACC. I have already sent out my application to transfer to UMD and I should know by mid December if I got in or not. I was hoping to get in for the dance program because not many people go to UMD for dance. My GPA my senior year in high school around a 3.25, and I had a low SAT and ACT score ( Im bad at tests and math). Im currently in foundations of college algebra because I’m so bad at math. And most of my classes are dance classes because my major is dance. I really want to get in but I’m doubting myself.
You certainly should be able to transfer to AACC for second semester. Don’t worry about that. Getting into UMD-CP for second semester would be a bigger challenge.
Is it too late to apply to Towson as a transfer for the spring? You might like the dance department there.
I applied to Towson as well. But UMD-CP offers a masters in fine arts, thats why I want to go there. Towson only offers a bachelors in fine arts, which is still good. I think ill go to AACC next semester and then re-apply to UMD-CP once I have my required classes out of the way
Does anyone know if UMD-CP releases all decisions on one day and when?
