I still don’t understand “30k applicants, 2k openings” - is this for ed only because if not that means the acceptance rate for 2017 is 14% but 2k openings seems awfully low considering theres about 17k enrolled

i applied ED w a 31 ACT, 3 APS, 3.5 GPA, and im a legacy and i got in
@strafed some people get in and decide not to go there. and no its 2k for the freshman class in total

They definitely admit more than will be part of the freshman class - but it sounds like they must have over 30,000 applications already and still 13 more days to apply! Sounds extra competitive this year!
