So I got accepted to UM for the Fall of 2016. I have received a good financial aid offer from the university, but I wanted to know if UM offers strong financial aid offers after the first year of studying there. I’ve read an article about bait-and-switch student aid that a girl encountered after her first year at UM, which means that after the freshman year, the financial aid offers go down significantly. I don’t know if this is true or not, and I don’t know often it happens, so I wanted to know from any UM students (or their parents) if they have experienced anything like this with UM before.
