So my D was accepted and received a 17k scholarship and a 17k grant. The scholarship is renewable for four years but I don’t think the grant is guaranteed and that makes me nervous. Anyone have any ideas if Miami usually continues to give the grant money?

My older D had a grant (at another university) her freshman year but never again. I felt they used it as an incentive to attend and then withdrew it once she was at the school. It was much smaller so it wasn’t too upsetting but it makes me nervous.

Grant money generally fluctuates with your FAFSA EFC and your CSS Profile.

If your income, savings, number of kids in college stays the same, your grant should roughly stay the same.

True it typically does but that wasn’t our experience when my older D was in school. I was wondering if anyone had experience with how Miami handles their financial aid.

Ours has stayed about the same. S is a sophomore.
