I am trying to start registering for my classes through my portal and I see that certain lecture classes, such as Biology and Chemistry also have a discussion course that goes with each of them. Does anyone know if these discussions are mandatory to attend? Or are they just opportunities to receive extra help? Someone told me that they think it is optional but they are not 100% sure.
