University of Michigan Ann Arbor Class of 2022 Early Action

My D is a current Stamps student. She did not get “swag” save for an envelope with some certificates and Block M’s for dayz

@Mom4dayz
Click “application status”
There will be 2 highlighted links - “view application data” and “view credentials “
If there’s a third highlighted link it will be “view decision”
Hope that helps.

Thanks, UMhopeful12!!!

For those who have the “decision tab” missing, any still awaiting a decision? My D is OOS with her older sister currently at UMich. Was EA deferred. We are over here on pins and needles!

@Mom4dayz yes, my decision tab is missing and I am EA waiting for decision

i hope my decision tab is gone as well

Got accepted yesterday after being deferred in December. Out of state, 1560 SAT, and 4.2 weighted GPA. I’m so pumped! Guys, if you got deferred, there’s still hope. Lots of you will be getting accepted in waves in the next few weeks. GO BLUE!

Son accepted LSA, after being deferred from EA
35 ACT, 3.88 UW, 4.52 W
OOS - CA

new & prospective student tab not working on wolverine access?

@curveboi Same. My new and prospective student tab isn’t working. Was deferred EA. Hope they updating my decision

Did anyone ger deferred AND receive their rejection yet…?

Son accepted to CoE after being deferred.
OOS-India
SAT - 1480, Math II/Physics SAT Subject Tests 800
Did not send LOCI

Decision tab hasn’t disappeared…starting to be very worried

Guys one thing I suggest: wait for the email they send out. I didn’t actually check my Umich portal (because to be honest, the online portal is so laggy and badly formatted) until this morning. However, yesterday I received an email with my Michigan acceptance letter after being deferred. To all those who have weird links with decision tabs and the link not disappearing or not being updated: DON’T WORRY! If you haven’t received any email, it means you weren’t accepted nor were you denied. You continue to remain deferred, and they will release in waves over the next couple of months. If you didn’t receive an email, then the online portal wouldn’t show anything different.

And to any deferred applicants, I hope to give you some hope! One of my friends got into Stanford, deferred early and continues to be. Another got into Duke, continues to remain deferred. One got into Harvard, AND STILL DEFERRED! Another got mit AND caltech, and still deferred! I promise this is not BS; like this legitimately happened. It was actually insane. Michigan is drastically trying to improve its yield right now. They are deferring - specifically, overqualified and underqualified - applicants and if you didn’t receive an acceptance, do not worry at all! Wait as the next couple of waves are unveiled over the weeks to follow. And remember, you can always apply as transfer to Michigan or apply for graduate school!

Also, if anyone was curious:

Accepted yesterday afternoon

GPA: 3.92/4, 4.7 Weighted
ACT: 36E, 35M, 36R, 34S (35 Composite)

Courseload: 15 AP Courses (4 Sophomore, 6 Junior, 5 Senior). Took toughest courseload possible: finished AP Calculus BC in sophomore year.

Hi Everyone,
I’m just wondering, how much harder is it to get into the Ross School of Business compared to just getting into the LSA Program? Thanks!

@Jmana704 It is much harder as one need to get admitted by LSA first before considered for Ross.

“Michigan is drastically trying to improve its yield right now. They are deferring - specifically, overqualified and underqualified - applicants and if you didn’t receive an acceptance, do not worry at all!”

Not sure how you figure those admitted to those other schools are going to come to Michigan, after ultimately being accepted. Michigan has a pretty strong yield without artificially trying to improve it with ED like Duke (for example) does. If Michigan weretruly trying to protect its yield, they all would be denied. Perhaps your friends didn’t put the time into their essays? In the meantime, are you planning on attending U-M?
