University of Michigan Ann Arbor Class of 2022 Early Action

What’s going on guys- Good luck to all who applied!

It says Early Action Qualified on my portal now!

@LeBirthdayBoss Where does it say that?

@LeBirthdayBoss What does an Early Action Qualified status mean?

@ballin2022 Under Application Status >> View Application Data (under Notification Plan Status)

@ceomommy21 I think it’s just that all of your documents arrived in time to be considered for EA.

Which program you guys applying for? I’m going for BBA.

@ballin2022 You go to Wolverine Access and log in. Then, click “Application Status.” Then click “View Application Data.” Then scroll down to “Other information” and it will say it or not.

@ceomommy21 It means that you qualify for early action because all the required material is in and your application will be considered in the early action pool.

@LeBirthdayBoss @Colaboy82
Mine says “Early Action - Requested” I applied on the 31st but it says materials were received on the 2nd. Will I not be considered for early action?

@ballin2022 It depends when all of your required material was postmarked. If it was before Nov.1 then you should be fine and just give the admissions office some time.

Yay! My notification plan status now says “Early Action - Qualified.” I guess this means that all my required materials were submitted on time. Good luck to everyone!

Mine also says “Qualified”

I just received this confirmation email from UMich that my application qualified for EA.

We are pleased to confirm that your University of Michigan freshman application is complete and will be reviewed in our Early Action program.

We will contact you if we need any additional information and appreciate your patience as we review your application. Your decision will be released by Dec. 24.

Please note that the School of Music, Theatre & Dance (SMTD) and the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning cannot participate in the Early Action program because of audition/interview (SMTD) and portfolio (Architecture) processes.

SMTD applicants will receive an admission decision following their audition and/or interview.

Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design applicants are required to submit their portfolio via SlideRoom by Nov. 1 in order to be considered for Early Action. SlideRoom will confirm portfolio submission via email.

Go Blue!

@KES2022 Received the same email!

@KES2022 I haven’t got that yet :frowning: When did you submit your application

I submitted 10/29.

@ballin2022
I haven’t gotten it either. I submitted on Halloween.

Okay UMich just sent me a HAIL guidebook but they can’t seem to figure out if I qualify for EA. sigh

I also applied on October 31st and have not yet gotten an email regarding qualification for EA, I did however receive an email that started with “Thank you for applying to the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts for Fall 2018!” (Received on Nov 4th) I’m hoping that this is not in place of the email notifying me of my possible EA qualification.

It finally turned to EA-qualified. Phew. What a relief.

I applied for early action and got a Hail interview invitation a few days ago. As I understand it, it’s an informal interview for their school of engineering with an alumni. Does anyone know anything if this is a good thing, or whether it was random, or anything else. Thanks!

@AvGeek, I just came back from an info session and tour of Michigan,and the admissions rep said that they will be interviewing about 50% of the engineering applicants this year. He said that the interview is not highly weighted in the admissions decisions, but is also used as a PR mechanism to make the applicants more interested in Michigan. I don’t know how they choose who to interview. My daughter applied last year and had the interview. It was very informal and it definitely increased my daughter’s interest in the school.
