@CO1234 Naviance is a great tool, even with its flaws (e.g., demographics, lack of major breakdown, other parts of the app). One other flaw is not knowing the recruited athletes, which is/was a problem at our local HS, since they’re fairly prodigious at producing them.
The UC system definitely has a great breakdown by HS and, as @Knowsstuff said, I’ll bet UMich has this information but chooses to keep it proprietary.
@LucindaM888 As you know, since you’ve been following the thread, obviously there were Nursing decisions released back during the initial EA release on 12/19/18, but there were no Nursing decisions posted in the 2/01/19 wave or since. Maybe another Nursing student can chime in here confirm that there has been no news?
I believe three (3) UMich TRANSFER students received decisions posted here early yesterday (Saturday) morning, but only to LSA. Good luck!
Actually some waitlisted applicants can still receive acceptances into the summer. Last year, in the Class of 2022 “Waitlist” thread, a student posted an acceptance on July 5th. And there were still others on the waitlist, awaiting decisions. These later and/or summer decisions are definitely not sent in waves.
At least we are pretty much guaranteed a wave this Friday. Hoping for good news. And isn’t this wave strictly acceptances, where in April is more of Accept, Deny or Waitlist? @sushiritto prob knows.
Acceptances will go out through Mid-April in a rolling fashion with a couple batches here and there. Yes finally by mid April all should know accept, deny or waitlist.
@joelen09 If prior patterns hold, here on CC, then the 3/1 wave SHOULD be all acceptances. Now, somewhere out there beyond here on CC, there may be waitlisted and rejected applicants. That I can’t see.
The projected Friday 3/29 wave should consist of acceptances, rejections and waitlisted applicants. See below:
But let’s hope EVERYONE here on CC gets accepted this Friday night/Saturday morning! And no one has to wait until the later waves. I wish you all the best of luck. :-bd
My son was deferred EA for COE OOS. He got his application in just before the deadline for EA. He did not get a request for an Engineering HAIL interview before the EA decision. A few weeks ago he did get an invite for the HAIL interview which he registered for and received a confirmation email. He hasn’t been contacted yet for the interview though. Any other deferred COE applicants get a HAIL invite and have you been contacted yet?
@racereer My son has not heard anything yet either. He was offered one back in November, accepted the opportunity but then Admissions pulled it back because of too many responses. He was offered another one recently and is still waiting to hear back after again confirming the opportunity. Hoping the details come through soon!
@hrs596 My son got an email today with his HAIL interviews name and email. It told him to wait for the interviewer to contact him but if he hadn’t heard from him by 3/4 he could try and contact him. I guess that means his decision won’t be in the 3/1 roll out.
@racereer You can be admitted without the Hail interview. Many admits never get the chance to have one. Personally, I think they are more for the student than AO.
