It should come out in around 24 hours? Should be Friday, not Thursday @givemethtcheese
Mine says received and still has a decision tab with the deferral
Traditionally, decision waves have been released every two weeks on FRIDAY’s at 12 AM with some people’s decison tabs disappearing around 6 pm Thursday evening, so no need to get worried.
Hi I’m new to this thread so sorry if this question was already answered, but do any of you know when the deffered LSA decisions will come out?
@dude100 Please see post #695 on this thread and there are other posts as well. Bottomline, one wave is already out. Another expected tomorrow (midnight tonight) and then will continue to come out till end of March.
my decision tab never disappeared when i received my original decision. i wouldn’t put too much weight on that.
What do you mean by bottomline?
@ferry Are you asking me what “bottomline” means? I was just summarizing an answer if @dude100 didn’t want to go back and read all the posts.
@csekar15 thanks for that information. Do you know how frequently these “waves” come out, is it bi-weekly? Also how do they choose who to accept in the earlier waves as opposed to later waves?
@dude100 I am just like you… waiting… don’t have much more info that is based on a source. Refer to post #695
My son was deferred EA and his counselor still has not submitted his mid year grades. We have asked a few times now and they either say they are working on it or just don’t respond to emails. Any suggestions?
Has the semester ended and the grades been finalized? If not, then that may be the hold up. If grades are finalized, and the GC is unresponsive, escalate your concern to the higher levels of the org chart.
@skieurope Yes, the semester ended on January 26th and report cards were updated at the beginning of last week. I wondered if anyone else has ever had this issue.
@cnew211 We were in the same situation with our son. Our semester ended 1/25 and guidance kept giving my son the run around that they will be sent. They were finally just sent yesterday and WA already showing that it’s been received. It must’ve been downloaded overnight. Very quick!
@smileynan23 Glad your son finally got his grades submitted. We had a few snow days so that could be the hold up. but it would be nice to at least get an answer!
As Feb 1 was the deadline for many RD applications, the GC may be busy in submitting student reports that have a more straight deadline. Mid year report may be viewed as a lower priority. Just be patient. In my D’s school, they ask for 3 weeks advanced notice for any submission.
@cnew211, that is not good. Your son needs to walk into that counselors office, along with another advisor. Asap…
@firetoddbowles didn’t you also say that you’re getting rejected if it says that your grades were waived? sounds like a you’re doing a whole lot of speculating with no facts. please remember that a lot of people are very anxious about this. giving out misleading information is just wrong.
I’m OOS and was deferred. My ‘decisions tab’ is still but now I have list asking “accept/deny financial aid” “my scholarship profile” “Finacial Planning” etc. Is this a good thing? My 1st-semester grads were just sent last week.
@liveymc I have the exact same situation. I thought the financial aid stuff was always there, but I’m not sure.
