University of Michigan EA class of 2020 thread

I have wanted to go to Michigan for as long as I can remember. My stats make U of M a target to reach school for me… Here’s my info, please tell me what you think my chances are…
Weighted GPA: 99
Act Best Scores: English 30 Math 30 Reading 28 Science 29 Writing 36
Great extracurriculars and 2 varsity sports
My essays are all great and I hope my LOR are too, I’m out of state as well… I appreciate all comments

Also I applied to LSA

Good luck to everyone! I am a sophomore here at U of M and am like all of you anxiously awaiting my sister’s decision. So nervous for her! May the odds be ever in her and (all of your) favor!!!

@DSEDSGDSR You have chance, but just wait one more day and you’ll know for a fact if you’re in or not. Also, great writing score!

Seriously great writing score :@) Good luck to you!

Thanks

I can’t sleep! I’m too nervous!

sooooooooooooooooooo nervousssssss

@soccergirl9897 do you remember what time you got the notification, and also what time zone are you? Thanks for the advice about checking the portal!

dont know if this was already asked… what time are the decisions out tomorrow

Just checking in on this thread. I was in the same spot last year, with knots in my stomach all night. I got my acceptance around 3:20 PM on Friday and I couldn’t quite believe it. Good luck to everyone and don’t give up even if it’s a deferral. There are plenty of people on my floor who got a deferral who are freshman this year. Go Blue!

@krnboy it’s probably all speculation but I believe the talk is that it’ll be around 3pm

Hey guys, good luck to everyone tomorrow. If there are any UMich students or alumni on the board, or anybody that knows in general, I have a few questions…

  1. Will we be notified of our decisions on Wolverine Access or by email?
  2. If I do get in, I’m very worried about affording UMich. I’m OOS with okay stats and am looking for some type of merit scholarship or grant.
    I have a 33 ACT, 800 SAT II Math 2, 750 SAT II Physics, 790 SAT 2 APush
I am a National AP Scholar, I have 5 5s, Calc, Psych, Euro, Apush, Econ and a 4 in English lit
I am Class President, and number 4 out of 330 (very competitive, number 1 is going to Yale, 5 is going to Penn, and 3 is going to either Caltech or MIT). My essays were good I think. I’m Cross country captain and founder of two clubs. I have 1 college credit from Penn in Biotechnology.

Can somebody chance me for admissions let alone any hope of a scholarship that will help me afford a 57,000 cost of attendance?

am i the only one who can’t stop refreshing this page?

Freaking out. How does LSA rank among the most competitive programs for admission?

Also, this is my first post! Its nice to reach out to a community of fellow anxious UMich hopefuls, got let down by MIT last night so I’m looking for some good news!

top 50 @obligatoryname

WAIT! I have another question? I thought you don’t apply for LSA until after admissions??? Am I wrong? I’m and engineering and theoretical physics major

No, you apply to LSA through common app and enter as a freshman @warneracw

Can someone chance me for someone who wants to do Ross preadmit?
Race: Indian
