University of Michigan Early Action Class of 2019 Discussion

@squirrel4123‌ yes please text him haha

Do you guys know how to calculate the UMich GPA?

@squirrel4123‌ Plex text him right away and see if he is right… I was about to have a hearattack.

@classof15‌ plez confirm if it is right…

@squirrel4123‌ omg. can you get a screenshot of the email?

@JK0919‌ I don’t think it’s right. I think she was talking about EA/ED for her ivies that she’s applying to or something…

Everybody let’s calm down! Obviously none of us received the email and also who cares? Today or Friday or the 24th the decisions will come when they come!

@keagle23‌ True but still I am so heartbeating about this news. I wish I could see it as early as I could… this time of waiting feels like waiting in purgatory…

I understand, I felt the exact same way when I was waiting for Stanford @JK0919

Also how would they release decisions if WA is down tomorrow?

I am thinking they might just start doing it after putting their stuffs, which sound rarely possible to be happened. I am that desperate to see my decision…

He hasn’t answered yet but I’ll let you guys all know when he does

@squirrel4123 please tell us what he says. If it’s true you are the real MVP

@squirrel4123‌ Thank you! sorry if I was being rude or anything. I am enduring this time of termoil with my best, but sometimes I end up being a great OCD

@JK0919‌ No need to stress

@keagle23‌ I honeslty said what I thought without proper background knowledge on calculating GPA, since I know some schools recalculate our GPA based on their own method. You do not need to be stressed about it. Just ask your admission counselor again or contact UMichigan. I do not want you to be stressed of it. I really do. : )

Ohh ok, I know that Purdue recalculates, but I didn’t know about Michigan @JK0919

@JK0919‌ @joker258‌ @keagle23‌ @humbleapplicant‌ @interiordesigner‌

Just heard back from him, he said:

“I’m supposed to hear from Michigan by the 24th, I was mistakenly reading an email from the University of Minnesota, which said to apply by the 15th”

So it seems like there were multiple misunderstandings lol, sorry for stressing/worrying/making everybody get their hopes up.

But seriously, you guys need to relax. I know it’s hard because you think your future is banking on this, and it certainly might be, but hovering over a forum talking about a moment a week or more from now will only make things worse by stressing you out. Stressing won’t change the outcome of your application.

When that time comes when decisions are made, all that stress will be released in either a very positive or very negative way. If you really care so much about this university I think you should relax and do something else, because if by some freak chance you are denied, your whole day/week/month/year will be ruined.

I only came here to see if people had started to hear back yet, and I think that should be the only reason you should as well.

Instead, just let the time flow. I’ll probably be disappointed if I don’t get in, but that’s not within my reach. Fretting over this so early will just hurt you emotionally and will have no impact on the outcome of your application. Do what you want, but setting incredibly high expectations can never end well.

Get a damn hobby

HAHAHAHA, ok thank you @squirrel4123

Thank you! It is not your fault. It is my bad that I am too emotional about this stuff. Thanks!
