What do you mean by UMass OMG?
@Desi1966 I haven’t heard of any appeal procedure before.
@Med509 UMass Amherst? Have you received your admission decision yet?
@Desi1966 it’s just that I’ve never saw someone applying for umich in the previous threads. So that’s why I was excited to see someone from there as well.
@transferkidlarry I am applying from UMass Boston. I haven’t heard anything yet unfortunately. I called this morninng telling them there is no material list at all on my portal. They find it weird as well and told me they will do their best to update it. If not, I have to call next week again. I am so stressed out.
@transferkidlarry How did they accept you if you didn’t send your high school transcripts? I will have 60 credits by the time I transfer and while my high school grades are terrible I sent them
@Med509 Wish you the best of luck man! I would personally rather send e-mails than call but it’s up to you.
@DinsoresRfake applied to LSA. Was notified two weeks after submission (feb 1st)
Accepted
I’m going to get denied. I already know it
Umich financial aid was even better than my current school even though am an OOS student
Cant wait to start this fall !
So, I got accepted. B-)
I’m also applying to UCLA and UC Berkeley, does anyone know how much harder those are to get into? Also, how does housing and signing up for classes work, can I wait 'til May 1 to figure it out?
Assuming you are not a California CC student-extremely difficult.
@HopefullyIGetIn thanks.
Also, do you know what could cause my offer to get rescinded? How bad do the grades have to be for there to be some form of punishment? I haven’t heard of anyone back in high school slacking off so much that they got rejected but I did hear of some girl getting put on academic probation for bad senior year grades.
"Transfers: As an admitted transfer student, you are subject to admission revocation if the course work you complete before your intended term of enrollment at U-M does not meet our academic standards. "
Seems pretty vague.

I’m a regular decision applicant who expects to be rejected in a week. If that’s the case, I plan on trying to transfer to Michigan as soon as possible. This might be a dumb question but is it possible for a freshman to come to U-M after their first semester? If not, is it possible to come to U-M in the summer before their sophomore year would start? I’m very confused about how transferring works but I would kill to go to Michigan so I want to get there as soon as possible.
Michigan seems to prefer junior standing applicants. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible to transfer sooner.
Between this thread and last year’s transfer thread I’ve read about a lot of incoming sophomores being denied acceptance. They tend to indicate the reason being the number of credits they have.
You must do one year at your starting college before being eligible for UMich transfer. I would apply as a sophomore transfer even though your chances are lower. I got accepted as a sophomore transfer despite having low/average stats in high school and college.
When will UMich release decisions by?
You think if anyone knows we would have been talking for 22 pages now? They guarantee a decision by mid-April without any specific date, but you might receive a decision before that.
Your intensity matches my feels.
I’ve got 90 credits as a transfer from OCC, have received offers and scholarships from 4/7 of the colleges I applied to. Waiting for U of M and Penn State, rejected from Purdue. Was accepted to OU, Lawrence Tech, University of Illinois, and The University of the Pacific. Wondering when I will hear from U of M or Penn. I sent my application in for Engineering in January, and am applying to Ross right now as well.
