University of Michigan Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

Hey guys! I got into LSA yesterday at 12 pm
I’m a transferring sophomore, got a 4.0 first sem of college and a 4.2 in high school.
I was wondering if anyone has a clue about transfer housing and if it’s common for transfer students to live on campus? Also, does anyone know if there is a Facebook page?

@tashi25 yeah umich class of 2022 on facebook

If there is no blue hyperlink on the financial aid tab by now does that me we are not accepted?

@UMICHCSLSA I don’t know if that is true for every person and every term applying. I also don’t have it.

And I also don’t know if it is only for the students who applied financial aid or for all, cuz I don’t apply for any financial aid.

@GoBlue2233 Did you have trouble spacing your paragraphs when you were submitting your common app. Not sure if it affects anything but I’m curious if it’s just me.

@UMICHCSLSA I also don’t have space. I think it is because of common app.

@UMICHCSLSA When are your materials complete? What is your last material received?

@GoBlue2233 I submitted everything beginning January, and my application February 1st. And there was nothing for me to submit after that. When I called just now they said it was complete March 4th for some reason they didn’t explain.

@GoBlue2233 I read that yours was marked complete 2/27. Did you submit anything after February 1st?

@UMICHCSLSA Yes, my last material arrives on Feb 19th. I think it is because of their own problem.

@GoBlue2233 yea my portal didn’t say I was missing anything since I made the wolverine account. But their site says decisions come out 6-8 weeks after our apps are marked complete :///

@UMICHCSLSA Do they release decisions based on eligibility or the date our materials are complete?

Not sure what you mean by eligibility but I’m just hoping it comes out this Friday.

Okay, here are my stats:
-White female
-Graduated private high school 3.9 GPA
-ACT 28 SAT 1220
-Currently attending UM-Flint in my freshman year
-I will be finishing my freshman year with 43 credits
-Current college GPA: 3.89
-My major is biology
-I also work in the medical field
-In Michigan
-My essays are very good

What do you think are my chances for transferring my sophomore year? (this fall 2019) It’s all I want and I’m getting very discouraged.

If you can finish the prerequisite courses and keep the current gpa, you will definitely get in. Trust me. Umich only cares about gpa for transfer student. Don’t worry. What matters now is to make sure you do finish all prerequisite courses and they are really strict about that.

Guys, there will definitely be a big wave for engineering students this week from previous experience. Good luck!!!

application was marked complete 2/20 for LSA, still nothing yet, Hopefully soon

@azac123 when did you submit everything in. They received all my docs by 2/1 but marked complete 3/4.

How do you check to see when your application was marked complete? Thank you!
