Hey just had a question about transcripts. I didn’t get my high school transcripts sent by Feb 1st, but they received them recently. Will they still consider my application?
I’ve been wondering about this. Why do people apply if they don’t get all the required material in by the deadline? I feel like if you’re going to do something, especially applying to Umich, do it with utmost importance to display your passion for the school. I would contact your admissions counselor and see. I’m sure you’ll be fine; however, that is a sign of immaturity and exhibits how the University of Michigan is not your top priority. That’s my opinion.
People who submit materials after the deadline still get admitted quite frequently. My adviser at my CC told me this. I wouldn’t sweat it if you’re only a day or two past the deadline. Although U of M is prestigious they don’t expect or want you to be perfect.
hey! i called michigan two weeks ago since common app hadn’t updated my transcripts by feb 1 and they told me not to sweat it - they were still accepting transcripts pretty much through the week of feb 1 through feb 8 and that if it came around then it would be fine. they technically can’t guarantee they’ll look at your application if the materials get there after feb one but i spoke to someone in UA admissions and they said if stuff came that week you should be fine since their transcript inbox was overflowing.
my response only applies to transcripts though the CA had to be in by Feb 1
I know there were some people who heard back on 2/13 and 2/14 last year. I wonder if there will be a wave soon or even some random responses
This wait is getting to be very frustrating. People are hearing back before me and my application was completed in November.
Tomorrow is friday though… Fingers crossed for a Valentine’s Day miracle!
Anyone hear anything today???
I’m yet to hear anything. They received all my documents in the middle of January though, so I’ve only been waiting a month. Had decisions from my other two applications within two weeks though.
How do you know when they received your documents?
It will show the status of your transfer documents on your Enrollment Connect page.
Stickying this thread!
Does anyone understand why some applications that are completed later get decisions first? My checklist was marked complete on 1-27 (later in the cycle), so I wasn’t originally expecting to get a decision until March or early April, but I know transfers who submitted days after me who’ve been accepted already.
If you’re an engineering applicant it takes a lot longer, usually till late March/early April.
Got rejected to C of E as a current sophomore this year. Is there a good reason to reapply for next term? Good luck to you all!
You got your decision already? Wow, that sucks
Hope you have better results than I do!
When did you submit?
Hey! Has anyone heard back yet? Im like super stressed about it…lol.
