It's been extremely difficult finding a lot of information on this topic on CC.

I was just wondering how many apply for the preferred admit position, the number that are usually accepted, and the difficulty of getting in as such.

With a 32 ACT, 4.0 uw GPA (HS does not offer weighted GPAs), and rewards/recognition on a national level for pharmacy-related studies, I was wondering if I even stood anywhere close to a shot of getting preferred admission. (I also participate in an extensive amount of extracurricular activities, have held 5+ leadership roles, and have taken the hardest classes at my HS, including numerous AP courses)

Additionally, I'm in state. Would that be of any significance?

I actually just got my acceptance letter into the pharmacy school preferred admission program in the mail today! I was so happy. haha Although no one originally answered my questions, I’ve found out a lot recently; if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

No, I didn’t get anything after mailing my acceptance of the preferred admissions. I just emailed the school today to make sure that my letter was received, but have not yet gotten a response.

Did you guys notice that number 4 on that little list of what we need to do in order to maintain preferred admissions says that we need to submit the PCAT by July of 2013… Is that a mistake?

Yea, just take out the 2013 and it should make more sense. The fall term of enrollment is the fall term of enrollment to the College of Pharmacy. Does that answer your question?

Hi I also got admitted into the preferred admissions and it’s so hard making a decision because there’s barely any info. on this program! Does anyone possibly know a little bit more info. regarding classwork or contract fulfillment? Also is this a guaranteed acceptance into COP or just consideration for it?

Well I think all of the classwork necessary for preferred admission is listed on the sheet we received in the mail, but as for actual admission to the college of pharmacy, I believe that as long as you fulfill the requirements listed on that sheet, then you are in automatically so long as you complete your pharmcas on time
