***University of Michigan RD 2019 Official Thread***

does umich send out emails right after portal change?

I think…

what portal change

@walterjp The only people that were supposed to receive decisions yesterday were those applying to the LSA Honors program. They had to have already been admitted to LSA to apply for Honors so that’s totally separate from us.

@kcirtap35‌ You heard wrong my friend. Atleast so it seems. :frowning:

@michaelite yeah i’ve got nothing

Unfortunate. I didn’t get anything either. Either nothing is coming today or they’ve chosen the regular time of release. Somewhere around 6:00. Sorry for the incorrect prediction

I have a friend who was accepted last year on March 28th.

Yeah. The waiting games are real

i like how they give us 0 clues

They said on twitter that they’re not planning on releasing a batch tonight but that we’ll know by early april. bleh.

Applied late-October and got nothing up to now. So frustrating.

@hanssi7941 If you applied in late-October, you should be applying to EA. Just wondering as you post in the RD thread. Your GPA may have put you in the grey area. Did you apply to CoE or LSA as your intended major is CS? You test score is fine. But for OOS, it is just very competitive due to the size of applicant pool.

I am an international student and I was deferred to RD due to missing items. I applied to CoE majoring computer engineering.

Most people here start losing hope, so do I. haha
The last letter that I received from my couselor was this

Hello xxxxxxx

I have received all of your letters of interest and they have all been added to your application file. There is nothing further we need as we are busy finalizing applications. We understand your continued interest in Michigan. Final decisions will be released in early April.

Kristen

I am not even sure sending letters of continued interest ever helped me to actually get in at this point.

So when do we expect the rest of the results?

^ By April 15, but likely a couple weeks before that.

Have the majority of decision been released already or have they only been releasing a little?

If they have only released a little, they would not have most of the admitted student visits (Campus Day) already over.

A stupid question, but does anyone know if you still get an acceptance packet after being accepted from the waitlist? (No, I am also waiting on a decision.)
