University of Michigan RD class of 2020 thread

@choirsandstages Oh, okay, that’s reassuring! it’s not really helpful that they don’t have a tracking screen or whatever.

@JustaEngineer I haven’t received an admissions decision yet but all of the Financial Aid links in my portal say something about no information available, I guess it’s supposed to be that way until I hear back from them

@jasishere I haven’t heard back from them either but the links I mentioned have 2017 listed. I think it’s a default when financial info is received, but don’t worry if yours doesn’t have it. They will email you regardelss after acceptance.

@jasishere Sorry, I should have clarified. It was posted a few day after I was accepted.

@JustaEngineer Oh yeah, the same links on mine say 2017 as well. Thanks!

@NICE8x Yeah, after reading your post a second time I actually comprehended it, sorry lol. I think I’m going delirious waiting on all these decisions. Thanks!

just repeating what a previous user said, but “They input the decisions on Thursdays and Wolverine Access refreshes overnight so you can see the “view decision” link on Friday Morning.”
So, if it fits this pattern, we should be getting the decisions on Friday.

@caligirl97111 yeah I remember someone saying that. Let’s hope!

hey guys! ive been following this thread for a while, but now i have a question. i was admitted to umsn on march 4 (i think) but my financial aid thing still says $0. im oos and i would love to attend umich but without aid its way too expensive. do you guys know when aid will refresh??

@grimx98 First Year Engineering. You?
@klingon97 No no no no, admissions always only mentions that decisions will be released by April. Yet there was a large wave of decisions released I suppose on the 27th or 28th of March last year, according to last year’s thread, but that didn’t cover all applicants. And CC only represents a small set of applicants anyway. I was speculating based on last year’s thread. There will definitely be decisions coming out in April. Sorry about the confusion.
As for the ‘most places being filled’ part, it just might be true, and I really hope it isn’t.

@synprk741 Your aid will refresh, and an offer will be posted, when you are admitted. The only make FA awards to admitted students.

As far as I remember, the financial aid year has been on 2017 as default for UMich, ever since I opened the Wolverine Access for the first time in January.
I guess we’ll just have to wait for the decisions to come before we know anything about aid. :smiley:
Anyway, best of luck everybody! I really hope decisions come soon, and I can get lucky enough to be accepted. :)) I need at least one acceptance after two rejections and one waitlist :)) :((

@utkdxb Physics! :slight_smile:

Is Michigan sending out rejections throughout the month also, or do they hold all of those until the end?

heyy I’m new to this thread did u guys (regular decision) receive decisions already??

@clairepear I still haven’t, but I also applied on the last day

@clairepear UMich has rolling admissions. It apparently notifies a bunch of applicants every Friday from early March to mid-April. :slight_smile: So if you too are waiting for your decisions, (like me) I guess you should hope for it to come out tomorrow or maybe next week. :smiley:

k thx! lol rolling admissions always bother me a bit XD

@clairepear Yeah, a fixed date would have been so much better :smiley: But nope, they just have to keep it rolling. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone have insight as to whether or not some sort of bulk of decisions are expected to be released tomorrow?

@bigtenhopeful34 apparently so, given their past release patterns (releasing decisions every friday). you should get an email notification about your decision being viewable

You guys should keep an eye on the financial aid links to see if 2017 pops up for accept/decline or summary.
