ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?? HAVE THEY SENT AN EMAIL YET?? @dag2018
Because my friends checked and they don’t see anything.
I’ve basically given up - D submitted her app in time for the EA round, however, she was sadly one of those that got caught up in the College Board Crash and her app missed the midnight deadline. Despite calls to admissions, it was pushed into regular decision, and so we wait…and wait… and wait…
Have other people heard today?
@Burke1 Not us…
take note that both of the posters have only two posts each… cannot be very credible.
We haven’t heard anything yet.
@momo2x2018 the same thing happened to me the waiting is killing me! I called admissions and they told me I’ll receive a decision, but I’m still so nervous. Good luck to your daughter
Are you INSTATE?
@ferry OOS
@gracevicari Did you also have problems with submitting the app by the EA deadline?
nothing yet
Anyone know what dates there were decision releases last year?
@charizard1234 I just got an email just now confirming that I’m in. But I was just casually checking and the button was there. I’m OOS and in the college of engineering. A friend of mine also got in and got the same email as me.
Is this only for engineering students? Is anyone else in today for non-engineering?
One should not be surprised by the small batch or sporadic admission notices. It is quite common every year.
@momo2x2018 yes. I submitted my application on November 1st, but on Wolverine Access my application received date is November 2nd, which resulted in my application being pushed to regular decision
@gracevicari Really? Wolverine Access shows that my application submission and materials were received on November 3rd (although I did submit them a few hours before deadline) and I was still considered Early Action qualified and received a decision (deferral) in December.
@gracevicari That should not be reason for pushing to RD. Most students submitted at the last minute would have the date stamp on CommonApp correct but a Nov 2 received date at WA. It does not matter. It is likely some support documents did not arrive by the deadline such as test score. UMich does require the application to be complete to be qualified for EA. You can see that in the application status/credential for the date of each item.
@gracevicari - same happened for my D, except her app shows at Nov. 11th!!!
