University of Michigan Transfer- Winter 2020

@transfer2000 honestly don’t think it really matters

yeah when you get the login probably doesnt matter negatively or positively

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me out with the transfer process? I plan on applying as a sophomore once I get to that stage. But I am the first in my family to go to college so I need some guidance. I currently have a 3.7 GPA and plan on joining extra curricular activities to add on to the application. But I did terrible in high school and if they look at my GPA then I feel as if they will reject me straight away. My High school GPA was a 2.0 and SAT score was 1020. But its not that I was unintelligent, I was a dumb kid who didn’t think everything through. But my 3.7 GPA shows how serious I am.

Look this through and it should answer all your questions. Make an appointment on transfer Tuesday and or call and set up an appointment to make sure all your credits transfer. Michigan is tough on this. If you attempt to transfer as a sophomore then they will use your high school record. Might want to talk to them about this. They are there to help you.

I just called the office of admissions and they said they just started downloading common app transfer applications today so we should be getting our log in anytime soon

I got my log in email last Thursday night. Also, you can send a letter of rec to umich after the app is submitted or rolled over. Send it to ecredentials@umich.edu.

Has anyone gotten their enrollment center email that hasn’t previously applied? (EDIT: Nevermind just saw the comment above disregard this)

I didnt do a transfer update request but my application portal from last year now says winter 2020 and fall 2019 on it. as of yesterday it looks like. so if you applied last semester check out that portal!!

Mine says winter 2020 on wolverine access too

Hi, would love to know if anyone could chance me.

Asian American Male, In-State, current Sophomore at MSU.
GPA 3.72, 45 credits at MSU plus 16 this semester.
HS Stats: Private School, 3.45 GPA ACT 31
Most of my credits transfer except for maybe a few.
Applied to Michigan out of high school and got rejected. Tried out MSU but really just felt that it wasn’t the place for me.
I’m applying to comp sci at LSA, and i also took calculus 2 at a local community college over the summer which transfers over, but I passed with a 2.2 since i didn’t think it mattered but will that adversely affect my odds?
I’ve got 2 decent recommendation letters, 3 clubs with a leadership position in one, and i also listed my summer job as a waiter as well as my current part-time student technician job.
My essays are ok but probably not the strongest, since i believe my fields of interest don’t really differentiate myself from my peers all that much, but i did try. If anyone could count my odds/chance me from their personal experiences that would be helpful!

My wolverine access says winter 2020 but I still haven’t gotten an email for the enrollment center. Is this for everyone else too? Im really worried that something went wrong with my application

Guys my enrollment portal says “ this application is currently being updated, check back soon “ it won’t show anything but that…

Anyone else ?

Same! I feel like it’s too early to have a decision but that’s making me so nervous!

Me too!!! I keep checking now ?

Did you also roll over your application ?

Yes! My wolverine access updated at the beginning of August and all my required materials were processed by the end of August. I also got my enrollment connect info about a week ago.

Same for me on everything oddly.

I’m really nervous that my high school stats will still impact my decision because I’ve completed 46 units and have 15 in progress for this semester with a 3.82 GPA

mine says it is being updates as well! we definitely won’t get a response before october 1st but checking the threads from the last few years, it could be right after the 1st.

I submitted my application on September 11 but still haven’t got the verification email, is that normal? Does anyone have the same issue as me? The Umich just replied to me that it will not be sent until late September, but it’s already late September now…
