SAT 2: Biology E - 750
UW GPA: 4.0
W GPA: 4.37
ECs (i know, not that outstanding):
Varsity Math Team - 1st place in county
NHS
Red Cross Club
Hospital Volunteer - 70 hours

State: MD

Recs are pretty good and essays are very good

You can also chance me for UIUC CS in Arts and Sciences college and Georgia Tech.

Your GPA is great while your ACT is below admission average for UMich. If would be a low reach for your from OOS.
UIUC CS in ENG is even more competitive and it would be a reach. The average admission ACT last year was over 34.

@billcsho‌ I said CS in arts and sciences at UIUC, that is Mathematics & Computer Science, and what about UMD?

There are at least 2 CS programs in LAS (Math/Statistics & CS) of UIUC, otherwise, CS is in ENG. They should be slightly less competitive than ENG. However, your ACT may be below their admission average. They should be a low reach for you.

bump

At UMCP CS is in the college of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences. They will not deny admission to an IS applicant with your GPA and test scores. ECs and recs will not be needed. “If you list Computer Science as your preferred major and are admitted to the university, you will start directly in our program.”

@FCCDAD‌ oh okay so I can basically call it a safety? and can you tell me my chances for the Honors College?

Sorry, I know nothing of the Honors program.
