Hello everyone!
I’m a senior in high school and Michigan school of nursing is my absolute dream. If anyone knows any insight on the program and the scores of people they know that have got in, please share! And if you have any idea on what my chances would be, here are my stats:
Early Action
OOS
95 weighted gpa
32 ACT (35 English, 27 math, 34 reading, 33 science)
I won’t list all my classes but I’ve been in mostly honors classes and have taken 4 AP’s one being AP Bio which I’m taking now.
I’m a dancer, singer, actress (used to do it professionally). NHS member. Teacher assistant for the film class and part of drama and dance club.
A lot of volunteer work including over 200 hours at the hospital this summer.
My supplements all showed a lot of interest in both nursing and Michigan. I’ve emailed the rep for my county a few times now (she’s replied every time) and I made sure to introduce myself when she came to our school. I’m also the only person in my school (150 in my grade) who applied to nursing.
Michigan accepts a good amount of people from my school.
My common app essay was about how I can use everything I learned during my 10+ years of acting for my nursing profession (emotional intelligence, compassion, etc.)
I hope everyone’s college process is going well, and I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season!
