OMG!!! Same. My portal is down too! Praying this is a good sign. I really want to get in.
my portal is also down- regardless of the decision, I want to give a special s/o to @sushiritto and @Knowsstuff- definitely helped me throughout this process and really made me love UMich. You were both a huge help.
To the rest of us applicants…good luck!

I am hoping for the very best for all of us
its happening for my UChicago and UNC portal too so I wouldn’t read into it too much
As of right now, my portal works
yup back to normal now smh
Guys, I’m pretty confident it’s coming out today! My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with a girl who works in admissions who said they plan on releasing decisions today. I guess she’s pretty serious
Very funny !
sad
I think it’s pretty clear that they don’t yet have a certain headcount. The international students are still a big question. At the school I’m committed to, many are saying they are have trouble getting visa appointments, but they haven’t given up yet. They are waiting to see. Also, some with minimal in person courses are switching to online and staying home. That is why the waitlist is still open, and why only a few are getting admitted here and there. They will not know fully until August, and possibly late into August. At some point, I hope they just pull the plug on further changes and take a stand.
Hopefully by August 2. Since they’ve given an August 1 deadline.
Just wish they would reach out and say something- every other school I was waitlisted on reached out to applicants- even the schools I was rejected from reached out after and sent follow up emails- almost 10 months since applying and not a peep from mich
Yeah. But might just create false hope or despair depending on whether you are a half full or empty type. I think they don’t know, and saying anything might not help. The time for that was July 1. Now it is what it is.
We might even know sooner. Umich released their dorm housing assignments today, and students have five business days to sign the contract agreeing to live on campus. If they don’t sign the contract, or state their other plans by the end of that period, Umich might turn to the waitlist. idk though
