Thank you! Currently have 50 credits without this semester, with 40 something being transferrable. After this semester I’ll have 64 with 50 some being transferrable

anyone else apply in august and still waiting to hear back from admissions?

What major are your applying? Computer Science?

liberal arts

Sure!

Applied October 1st as a neuroscience major, heard back October 25th. Was deferred and waitlisted last year.

Current sophomore transferring from in-state community college, accumulated about 80 credits by the time of applying from being in an early college program.

GPA: 3.9
ACT: 31, SAT: 1460
EC: awareness ambassador for epilepsy foundation, marketing officer for MSUCOM organization, recruitment officer for PTK, also listed a couple med-related activities/awards from high school

  • part-time job as a math tutor
Letter of rec: one from psych professor
Essays: thought mine were cringey, in all honesty :’)

Transfer applicant can be deferred and waitlisted?!

nope! I applied as a first-year applicant last year, so that’s when I was deferred and waitlisted

Ohh got it. Congrats!

I really don’t know tbh. I thought I had a pretty good shot, I was really shocked I got rejected. My major is Comm Media and I took a gap year after my freshman year of college and worked at a media production company for 7 months. My hs gpa was a 92 (out of 100) and my college gpa was around 3.5, which is a bit lower than most applicants I guess, but I thought my essays were well written, and I had lots of extracurriculars (majority were related to media). I’m also an international student.

Maybe they are mean to intl students

Maybe is because GPA. For international student, the GPA is more competitive.

I did get an email noti.

It’s been torture. No news so far. Many people I know around me have been accepted. Could someone please comfort me? I am studying in a famous state university, with a GPA of 3.96 in my freshman year and more than 40 credits. I am in the honor series at the university and have won the Dean’s List Award once. I had two internships and published a paper. There is a letter of recommendation from a non-nBU professor. Because I am an international student, I took the TOEFL test, and my TOEFL score was 100, which met umich’s requirements。My application essay may not be excellent, but I think it should also reflect my character in all aspects. Can anyone tell me how much I hope to be admitted to the LSA Department of economics

They will release decision by Mid-November

I wonder if the time will be linked to the possibility of being admited. Will the students in the latter part of the order will be more difficult to admit?

I don’t think so. How’s your high school GPA?
