Hello I was wondering if I could get into the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a 2.9 GPA. I am a junior and transferring for spring 2013. I wrote a special circumstance letter and finish my application. I didn't do so well in high school low GPA and ACT scores. I did okay my first three semester. During fall 2011, I had a 3.2 GPA and apply to UM-TC but got rejected so what are my chances now. HELP ME PLEASE. Oh and I am doing the individualized study major if that helps!!

Probably not. If you have your heart set on going there, it isn’t the worst thing in the world to apply, but your GPA is lower now than it was in high school. According to their site, the average transfer GPA varies from 3.1 to 3.8 depending on the program you apply to; 2.9 is probably too low.
