University of Oklahoma Medical Humanities Scholar Program (BS/MD) vs UMKC 6 year BA/MD program?

I am a high school senior. I am trying to decide between two BS/MD programs. i need to decide by May 1, 2014. My two options are:

• UMKC BA/MD program - 6 year program (regional pool), Estimated Cost $380K
No Mcat needed. I hear that 6 year program is quite intense.

• University of Oklahoma Medical Humanities Scholar Program – 8 year (4+4) program (out of state). Estimated Cost $370K. I can apply to other med schools after undergrad. Need average GPA and MCAT score of last year’s admitted class

Any advice and guidance on choosing between the two programs would be very helpful.

Between those 2 choices, I would say Oklahoma hands down.

@docstudent‌ Congrats, those are great accomplishments! I would say UMKC if you’re looking for getting done early, especially if you’d rather not take the MCAT because that’s an amazing option. But can I get some advice for what it takes to get into those programs? I’m a junior right now and am interested in applying to BA/MD programs and would like to know what I need to do to get accepted. Thanks!

What did you pick?
