My kid’s portal shows the same thing (applied early October and already admitted).
D22 submitted Stamps application. Anyone else?
We opted not to. Seemed like a lot of work for just a handful of awards for OOS students like ours.
My daughter submitted an application for Stamps. Just received notice tonight that she received a different scholarship from U of O — don’t know if that means she is out of the running for Stamps.
My daughter also received the Summit today! And like you no indication how that may impact Stamps application.
My daughter also received the Summit Scholarship tonight. When do they find out about other possible scholarships or could that be it?
I think there is more to come. The UO website says other scholarships can stack with the Summit:
The Summit Scholarship awards Oregon top scholars $16,000 over four years - $4,000 per year, and due to the difference in tuition, non-resident top scholars will receive $40,000 over four years - $10,000 per year (annual award is split evenly over fall, winter & spring terms). The Summit Scholarship can be combined with other UO scholarships, including the Presidential, Diversity Excellence, and General University Scholarships. Summit Scholarships may not be combined with the Apex Scholarship or UO Excellence Scholarship.
Where did you get notified? On the scholarship portal where you apply for Stamps or on the general login where the acceptance letter was? Son was just accepted yesterday, still waiting for acceptance from Architecture program. Curious where he should be looking for Summit or other awards that he didn’t have to apply for.
DD received notice of OOS scholarship tonight - 10K/year for 4 years. 3.9 GPA (4.3 weighted), 1370 SAT, several APs.
Good luck to all!
My daughter received a separate email today just notifying her about the Summit Scholarship.
My daughter received the Summit Scholarship too! We were not expecting scholarship info to come out so soon, so it was a nice surprise to get it today. Certainly makes the OOS tuition more palatable.
The Summit Scholarship is automatically awarded to students based on GPA. (Other years it is GPA and test score.) Getting it says nothing pro or con about your Stamps scholarship chances.
My daughter received an email about the scholarship. It came about three weeks after she received her acceptance.
Today, I received an email giving me direct admit to the Lundquist College of Business.
The site was updated from pre-Business to Business Management.
Did you have to do anything for the change to direct admit?
Same. Just received the direct admit email to Lundquist and portal change. Well done and good luck to everyone!
I received the direct admit update today as well, didn’t have to do anything. Their site says they choose applicants based on academics and is by invite only.
Is it just an email or it shows in the portal as well?
My D22 also received the email directly admitting her to Lundquist. Invitations go out to selected applicants who listed Business as their intended major.
It came by email, but the portal also changed major from pre-business (I think) to business administration
