I am part of the incoming Class of 2022 at Penn. On my portal, under the acceptance letter, was an invitation to join the BFS (Ben Franklin Scholars) program. According to the website, students participating take a rigorous special selection of courses. What I’m considering is this- I think I want to try to transfer internally to Wharton at some point. Would this program make that harder (due to the special courses replacing the prerequisite math and econ courses), or would being part of a selective program boost my chances of getting in?
First of all, if you want to internally transfer to Wharton at some point before even going to the College, you might as well just apply for Wharton in the first place. If you just trying to sneak into Wharton through some shortcut or easier path, just forget about it.
