@BigJah I would report them. They unfairly beat the admissions process; if everyone else did this, it would ruin the whole application process. This is unfair and needs to be reported so a student who fairly applied can have a spot.
@BigJah Report them
dark kermit meme do it
But at the same time you may want to consider that as a quest bridge applicant, they are too poor to go somewhere else and may have been desperate. Out of curiosity, were they accepted on QB or ED?
@Pennwellsee there is probably someone else even more poor and this person might have taken their spot.
Does anyone know the breakdown of us by college?
What do you mean?
Like were most students deferred from CAS or Wharton or is it pretty event
@ninjakiwi I would say CAS but they don’t release those statistics. CAS has a larger pool than Wharton so it only makes logical sense for CAS to defer more students. Just my opinion, I could be completely wrong though
Does submitting a letter of continued interest count as our one-time deferred applicant update?
@Aztreas I’m not sure, but I think our guidance counselors can send it directly to the admissions officer. At least I know mine has contact with him/her. I will be meeting my GC sometime this week or next week to send out the letter so I’ll let you know what happens.
@doorrealthe Thank you!
I did not think to ask my guidance counselor if she had a direct connection, but I did find Penn’s contact staff page. They have emails for each region, but I could not find any way to contact specific officers. Can the GC contact specific officers or only the team?
@Aztreas I asked my GC and she was only able to get the email of my regional team. I went ahead and contacted the team, and addressed the specific officer for my state in the email
@Aztreas my gc said to include it in the update.
@doorrealthe lol I already sent mine in separately…
@Aztreas did you get an email reply back?
@doorrealthe Yeah I did. All it said was thank you and that they added the letter to my file.
penn says the update is due mid-february. is there a specific date we should send it by?
@apzsfo no, but you should probably send it now. They’ll be reviewing our applications very soon, if they aren’t already.
Just sent the update. Do you think it’s too late?
